Parenting rules – Tao inspired parenting – Chapter 19

Tao Te Ching - Chapter 19

Throw away holiness and wisdom, and people will be a hundred times happier.

Throw away morality and justice, and people will do the right thing.

Throw away industry and profit, and there won’t be any thieves.

If these three aren’t enough, just stay at the centre of the circle and let all things take their course.

- Stephen Mitchell's translation from Tao Te Ching (The book of the way)

Tao inspired parenting

Don’t teach, preach or lecture the child, and you will see the child happily learning.

Stop correcting the child in the name of righteousness, and the child will do the right thing according to consciousness.

Relax your rules and discipline, and the child will not misbehave.

Stay centred with Love, Bonding, and Trust; then you don’t need to follow any parenting rules.
